Our Guiding Principles:

Membership will be limited to speakers who have demonstrated an advanced speaking ability and who are seeking to develop their skills to an accredited or professional status.

Evaluations will be rigorous and will provide members with constructive opportunities for development while at the same time reinforcing the positive elements of their polished speaking style.

Members will be expected to contribute to the success of the club through active participation in meetings.
Membership Requirements:

Minimum educational achievement is a CTM/CC

Dual membership is encouraged but not a requirement of Top of Toronto Select Speakers.

Club membership is "closed".

Membership is acquired by successfully meeting the criteria established in the audition process.

Members are expected to participate as meeting officials on a regular basis and be open to all forms of feedback.
Top of Toronto Select Speakers are looking for Toastmasters who are willing to go beyond their previous Toastmaster club experience by:

contributing to the growth of this advanced club.

participating in high quality club meetings.

presenting "professional" level speeches.
-
providing and accepting all forms of feedback from other members.
Meeting Format:
Two-hour meetings include a Table Topics session which allows members to practice their impromptu speaking skills for two minutes. The formal speech presentations allow members to work towards achieving their ATM /AC status based on the requirements stated in the advanced manuals.
Evaluation Format:
Evaluations are key to the success of our advanced club. Table Topics will be evaluated. Ten-minute round robin speech evaluation format will follow each formal presentation.
